Missed phone calls after mri ..
Hi has this happened to anyone else ? My Gp referred me to A & E after I mentioned some symptoms that looked like cauda equina , I was not in any big flare up with back problems at the time . I was examined and booked in for an mri full spine next day. I had the mri a couple of days ago. Yesterday the twice I put my phone down Sod’s Law lol I missed 2 calls from the hospital. I rang the number back it was the main switchboard and no one could find out who had rang me or for why . I’ve had no phone calls today and I’m finding it very odd. I’m guessing any results get sent back to the Gp who asked for me to be looked at ? I’m not overly worried about it but I just find it odd … Is this the normal way ? Ty Sorry if I’ve posted in the wrong group lol

Hi @Dendoo. It's always the way that they ring you when you haven't got your phone on you. They might have just wanted to let you know the results are ready and you should book an appointment with your GP. I'd call the GP and see if they have them then it can put your mind at ease.

hi Rachel , thank
You . I will just wait . I’m sure if it was urgent I’d of been contacted by the Gp too by now . I’ve an appointment at the end of the week for bloods with nurse anyway booked about a long ago so if I have not heard anything will just slip it into conversation. I was under the impression the hospital hasn’t got time to do stuff like that . 🤷♀️ . Maybe it was an appointment with another dept they want me to make ? I guess I will find out . Ty for responding x

Not a problem. You're right, if it was urgent they would have contacted you. Yeah it could've been about another appointment; it's frustrating isn't it when you call the hospital back but the switchboard have no idea who called you and why! I hope you find out soon.

yea they shouldn’t do that without leaving a message at least with a get back to number x
