Good afternoon

I new to here and would like some advice.

I currently have depression & anxiety, this has caused me not to go out alone & I have to be reminded to eat as I have no appetite. I am under the community mental health team & have had a work capability assessment, part of my care plan is working towards going out alone, will this cause my Lwcra to be stopped

Any advise will be welcome

Thank you

No that won't cause your LCWRA to stop.

Hi @pollycat and welcome to the community. As Kimi has said, it won't affect your LCWRA. How do you feel about your care plan?

Hi girls, I got Lwcra as I don’t go out without my husband & forget to eat due to no appetite, so that’s why I asked the question. My care plan has only been discussed with me & not written on paper yet, but it includes going out alone in small steps & getting me back into the community so far, I am worried as it’s been 18 months since this all started but I know I’ve got to do it, I really want to be well again & be my happy self

Also do I need to tell the dwp about my care plan?

@pollycat you don't need to tell DWP about your care plan. It'll be a tough journey but you will get there ❤️ We're always here if you want to chat or if you need a distraction there are loads of different chats going on.

I’m a little confused still as my descriptors was that I don’t go out without pout my husband so I’m a little worried about that

sorry not answering to your question , but looking for information , I was awarded lwra over 4 years ago , they then asked me to fill in more paperwork like a book in nov 2024 , I sent it back before the date requested on the 5th of dec 2024 and I’m still waiting to see what they said , it’s extremely frustrating that it’s taken so long , my work coach said they have stopped assessing, I then hear other people still get it , I just don’t know why it’s taken

This long ? And because the amount changes in April , i feel like they are waiting so they don’t have to pay out as much , I don’t even know just a guess

Just to clarify I have never had extra money , but not now pushed to find work , but most people get a higher rate of lwrca I’ve never had this , this is what the assessment in Dec 2024 was for

Unfortunately there are extremely long waits for reassessments at the moment.

You've done the paperwork, you are now waiting to hear what type of assessment you will have.

You can enquire about the status of your case directly with the health assessment agency.

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/find-your-health-assessment-provider

You can also use their formal complaint procedure to make a complaint about the waiting time.
