Help Needed Please

Morning

I'm very stressed at the moment & would like some advice.

I was caring for my daughter but she has now left home & have had to end my carers allowance & carers element on UC & I don't know what will happen now.

I'm on pip & get sick notes as I'm unable to work. As I said in another post I had completed UC50 & was due an assessment but refused it on the day. I've messaged uc trying to find out the progress or if I need to start again.

Has anyone else been through similar?

Thanks in advance

As previously advised I think your starting point should be to contact the health assessment agency to enquire about the status of your case.

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/find-your-health-assessment-provider

You could be in the queue with them for a paper based assessment, in which case UC would be awaiting the outcome same as you and unable to help.

You can also speak to a local welfare rights organisation for assistance.

    Thanks @Kimi87

I understand that part I was just wondering whilst they are waiting will I be required to look for work, I've been sending sick notes in since started to claim back in November 2024 & just stressing out as its all unknown

Until you are declared as unfit for work following a WCA you would be classed as a job seeker.

However work coaches do have some discretion while awaiting the WCA outcome.

Some are more reasonable than others in terms of what commitments are expected.

Just had a message on my journal I've got a work commitments interview next week to discuss things with them. Almost as stressed when the pip renewal form comes
