Boiler error, no warm water or heating
Hello,
I really hope someone here can help me. Our boiler stopped a couple days ago and displays an Error. Now we have no heating or warm water. Due to my disabilities I am a vulnerable person (mobility issue, autism moderate support needs, ME, Fibro, etc). I am due my first UC payment end of the month but it's too late to apply for a early loaned payment and as I understand it doesn't add the health element until 2/3 month in. I am worried we don't have enough money to repair the boiler as it looks like it be at least 300. We are shared ownership so boiler is our responsibility, just moved in. I don't know what to do but I feel in a very bad place mentally

Could be low pressure

Hi @Pan It could be something as simple as low pressure which usually shows as an error. You would need a gas engineer to check this but it is an easy fix.
I hope you can get it sorted soon.
Take care.

Hey! We were told it could be pressure ours was high tho so we drained radiators and pressure is ok now but still nothing really hope it's an easy fix. Will need to wait till the week as weekend call outs are expensive. Thanks all

My plumber came out and just cleaned the valve it was so simple chalk had blocked it.it only cost me a cup of tea while he cleaned it out.no charge for a disabled person

Hi @Pan. You can apply for an Advance, here's some information . Are you able to keep yourself warm? Do you have blankets and hot water bottles?
There's some more information here about getting the boiler fixed and ways to get help with paying the bill. Is it covered on your insurance?
I'd recommend getting it fixed as soon as possible but I understand the concerns about money.

Back when I lived in a Housing Association Flat, the Boiler died twice in the space of about 6 weeks, yet getting it repaired was a nightmare for various reasons, it was one of the reasons it'll be a year in May since I moved out.
