LCWRA

Hi everyone, looking for some advice I am currently already on LCW due to mental health, last June I was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer and immediately put in a change of circumstances and was told if I am having treatment I will automatically be given LCWRA, I sent off the uc50 last July, my cancer nurse filled in the back page stating I will be having treatment etc, I have now completed my treatment and I still haven’t heard anything from them. I have rang Capita 3 times, each time they have told me it’s in the system and that’s it. I am currently in financial hardship due to not working because of all the treatments and surgeries I have had and I can’t understand what is taking so long, is there any way I can try and speed the process up? I only finished my treatment 4 weeks ago but at this rate I’m going to have to start looking for work which I know I shouldn’t be doing as I’m still really unwell but feel like I don’t have a choice.

You can contact Capita to make a formal complaint, there is also your MP who might be able to help.
