Pancake Day 2026 π΄π
It's Pancake Day today so to celebrate (as well as eating pancakes) I thought I'd share some fun facts about the day..
πIn the UK, around 52 million eggs are eaten each pancake day
π The world's biggest pancake was made in Rochdale in 1994. it was over 15 metres wide and weighed three tonnes! This is as much as an adult rhinoceros
πMardi Gras celebrations are held all over the world on Shrove Tuesday. Mardi Gras means 'Fat Tuesday' in French
πIn France, it is tradition to make a wish while you toss your pancake!
Whatβs your favourite pancake topping? I like the classic lemon and sugar myselfπ΄π

Ah, I missed it! I love pancakes and those ones look great Mary_Scope.
I'd say my favourite topping is either lemon and sugar or honey.
