HB paid separate on UC

in Universal Credit (UC)

have successfully arranged for my housing benefit paid direct to social landlord. Last month I got uc payment with evidence of housing element in my online rent account a straightaway. Today I got the uc payment but no housing e.g. lemrnt in my online rent account. Not sure if error from UC or it hasn’t yet been processed. Little concerned

    When paid directly, Universal Credit pays social landlords (councils and housing associations) on a 4-weekly payment cycle, and it’s usually made as a bulk payment covering multiple tenants rather than individual transfers.

    This won’t normally line up exactly with your own UC payment date.

    So as long as the managed payment to the landlord has been agreed and the housing element shows on your UC statement (and the deduction appears at the end of your statement), it should be fine, it can just take a bit of time to work through the payment cycle.
