How long does it take for DWP to answer journal entries?

Hi, I made an entry on Friday morning with regards to an appoint request they'd sent me and I haven't had a response as yet. I'm still waiting for requested information to come via the post from my bank. Plus, I'd like my wife to come with me and she is not available for the appointment.

I'm just concerned I'll get sanctioned if they don't respond to my journal entry and are still expecting me to show up.

I've just made another journal entry.

I'm wondering if I should phone them. Something I'd prefer to avoid due to anxiety.

Also, how much notice do they have to give for appointments? I've only been given four days notice and two of those days were the weekend. When I had the phone review, I got weeks of notice and even got a courtesy call to tell me what to expect during the call.

I remember getting faster responses in the past.

Many thanks.

    Hi @OliverLoving

Usually it's a few days but it may be a bit longer depending on workload or complexity etc. They can be quite quick to give appointments but again this is something that can vary too.

Hopefully you'll get a reply soon

I rarely receive an answer within a week. Even then, it's often not answering my question, just something scripted and irrelevant.

Thanks for that. I got a response today. But, alas, it didn't answers all of my questions. I've had to post it again.

    Oh well.
