For years I have been helping a young woman that, for the purpose of this contact , has 2 sons that are fully autistic. At the moment the eldest has reached the age where disability changes (12?), So mum has to wait until they decide to pay disability again. For the second (11 yrs old) with all the problems of full disability, they will only pay the lower disability payment. Obviously, She is always in need of help, so I help, but she also has another 4 children. If only they could sort out the proper help for the two eldest it would help. I would give her telephone number to you ,but this note may not be private. My name, address etc. has been in your records for 30 odd, or 40 years. Is this something you could help with ? violetta

Hi @Soave, welcome to the community. It's lovely to hear that you've been helping this woman and her children. It's tough to manage sometimes so I'm sure she's really appreciative of all you do for her. If either you or she would like to speak to someone about her benefits options or anything that's affecting her, Scope's helpline may be able to help with some advice.

You can contact them by phone or email. All the details are on the website here in case you'd like to do that: https://www.scope.org.uk/helpline
