If you could go back in time and change one thing, would you do it?
I love discussing this topic as it makes you really question a lot of things.
If you changed that one thing, where would you be now? Would it be better or worse than where you are now? How could you know? Would changing that one thing make a difference or would you need to change multiple things?
One thing I would change is reaching out for help when I was child instead of suffering. But then I think about who/what I'd be now and if I would still meet my husband and have my children?
Sorry this is a lot of questions and deep thinking for a Monday 😅 I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I look back sometimes and think “if only I hadn’t made that decision.” But then I remind myself it must have been the right decision for who I was and what I knew at the time. And honestly, if I did go back and change one or two things, I worry about the good parts of my life that might never have happened as a result of making those changes.

I'd go back just over 35 years to Valentine's Day 1991, my ex at school asked me "Are we gerrin' married then?", and I'd change my response to "Yeah go on then", even if I didn't get on with her Brother.
It'd be interesting to see if the kids inherited my problems, well there'd be a 50/50 chance of that.

That's a really good point @MW123. As they say, hindsight is 20:20. I think I'd need to know exactly how my current life would be affected before I made a decision. Maybe if you could change the decision but your memories are then filled in based on that decision and you forget your current life it would be better?
Do you feel that you would have been able to overcome the issues with her brother @SheffieldMan1976? As MW123 said, we make decisions based on the knowledge we had at the time and maybe at that point it would have been too much?

This is an interesting question. I don't remember any specific opportunity that I passed on and now wish I'd taken. But there are plenty of things I would change if I'd had the opportunity at the time.
I suppose I should say that I would have sought help with my conditions earlier… However, I never received any help when I eventually did ask for it. So was it even available when I was younger? I doubt it. Perhaps children's services would have been more useful than adult services, but I'll never know now.
(Possibly a bit deep for this thread but I still wish I'd ended everything towards the end of primary school. I don't think any other single change could have prevented the situation that I find myself trapped in now.)

Well back then, me being neurodiverse had never even been discussed, it wasn't till about 8 years later when my Sister in Law picked up on it.

If I Could Change 1 thing it would be to have Never got Married at all.
I Luv All my Children but i would rathet not be married as it restricts you so much and dont always agree on everything what i know now i would have been better to stay single as been married complicates things as we have differant opionions on lots of things in life.
I wouldnt be in the situation i am in now if i was still single and with as many health problems i do have caused by other people.

I wouldn't change a single thing, became if I did i wouldn't be where I am now.
Yes there have been bad times which I wish never happened but they led me to this point and I'm exactly where I'm meant to be.
