Awarded PIP without sending forms

Hello, I have been awarded PIP on 17/3/26. I received the text and also confirmed my payment date. I requested the forms in October 2025, I the requested an extension and I still didnt manage to do the forms due to my mental health and family issues. I have been awarded PIP from my telephone assessment alone. However I wanted to know if I will still receive backpay? Any response / help would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards

The only ways to find out is to ring them, check your bank statement for pending payments or wait for them to send you a letter.

Any backpay can often arrive before the letter.

Hi @MOB187 - & welcome to the community. As this was your first time claiming PIP, then payment will be due from the date you first rang up to start this claim (so sometime in Oct 2025).
