I had a macular surgery that left me impaired sighted because I can no longer see with that eye. After that I am suffering from the hemifacial and pain in my right side eyes and find it difficult to read and write. Can you please advise what will be the help available.

kind regards

Hello @lydie6 and a very warm welcome to you.

I'm really sorry you've gone through that. I have vision problems and occasionally pain from one of the diseases.

You'd be best to look at the PIP descriptors as awards are based on how they affect your daily life and activities of living including aspects like Preparing Food, taking nutrition, managing therapy or monitoring a health condition, there's quite a few and also two relating to mobility.

I'm not sure if they (the Descriptors) are on here somewhere but the website Benefits and Work does have them.

The Citizens Advice Bureau have specialist benefits advisers who may be able to help you. Also, if you rent from a council or housing association they often have a Money and Benefits Team who might be able to help, if you need that. They can advise including the application process/form filling etc.

With my very best wishes to you and take care.
