Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is well. I have a question about a CRU certificate after an accident i had abroud that was not my fault. I am seeking compensation but my question is will i revieve a CRU certificate if my accident was in USA on holiday and the company representing me is in Florida but through Digby Brown . (I hope that makes sence). I'I've not received any benifits in result of this accident but im curious what happens concerning this? Does anyone knoknow?

Hi @kiki7976. Sorry to hear about your accident, how are you doing? I've had a look into CRU certificates but can't find anything that mentions an injury abroad. Have you contacted the DWP about your benefits stopping?

ive not but im on Contributions Based ESA so I assumed everything ok. Never been on income related benifits. I assumed ut would be ok.

Would there be any other reason for your ESA to stop? How long were you abroad for? I'm not sure why the accident would affect your benefits.

Sorry I think I've misunderstood. I'm afraid I don't know about CRU certificates. Another of our members may know.

I had a UK accident and claimed no benefits as a result, I had a CRU letter through stating zero was owed to DWP.

I thought that would happen too but my accident was in US. I've contacted the office in Glasgow to see what happens with that kinda thing, you know? My friend recieved exactly the same form but im just unsure how long into the whole thing she recieved it?

I received mine when I was made a settlement offer.

I rejected that and received another one when a second offer was made, which I accepted.
