Paypal was the creation of the Devil IMO, thank heck it's no longer mandatory on eBay.

Hi @peachypie try not to worry if they've confirmed that your bank statements are enough, especially with a short deadline. But if it would make you feel better, you can start the ball rolling with PayPal customer services to get your confirmation of account closure/any statements you might want here - PayPal Contact Us | PayPal GB. They have a web messaging service or if you'd prefer you can call them on 0203 901 7000.

I'm pleased they've been able to turn it around quickly @peachypie, that's something positive. And hopefully if they get to you tomorrow that gives you enough time to get them posted and with them before the 16th. I know it's going to be the anxiety and worrying with it being so close to the deadline but I've got everything crossed that you'll have them there and if not, they've said bank statements are enough. Sure if you told them on the call that the PayPal bits will be with them a few days later, they'll make a note. 😊

I totally get it. I can be exactly the same with highly stressful things like this. Sometimes you need to re-energise a bit. I'm really sorry about your uncle. It's nice that your getting together and having a 1 year anniversary. 💛

You could ask the question if you explain the circumstances. No harm in asking but with how close you are to the date, just make sure you still get everything ready in case.

I've called Paypal UK several times over various issues, waste of time because it's a non UK off Shore call centre with people who don't understand UK regional dialects (aren't they always?!) and I had a ton of problems trying to sort stuff.

I will just wait till the 15th send my bank and savings and if theres an issue im guessing they will give me another to do list maybe extra couple of days i remember having issues with my savings before they wernt hoing to accept but i said thats all the bank issue so they noted it down but last time defo wanted my paypal all my to do says is 4 months bank statements for every account i only have 1 account so dec 1st 2025 to end of march 2026 is what im going to send like you said it may be too short notice for an extension and the guy didnt seem very nice he was very abrupt

Some people hate customers and therefore shouldn't be doing customer service for a living.

Like I said this morning, Paypal are one of THE worst CS I ever dealt with.

Is it Standard practice for a universal credit review person to send you a gentle reminder that your deadline is 16th and statements need to be in by then or could impact benefits never had this in my last review is this standard practice I haven't replied as I know these have to be in but need to get everything together I dont know if this is normal and anyone else has had these messages
