Have You Ever Felt Targeted By Other Members On The Forum?

I am writing this as a follow up to Rubin's thread on how friendly is the forum.

I know several members who feel targeted by other members every time they post anything.

One member in particular at this moment in time is having a nightmare with the DWP.

She is vulnerable and frightened of being judged and ridiculed if she asks for help on the forum.

How can that ever be right on a Disability forum.

This is not about a difference of opinion this is about members not feeling safe to ask their questions.

I would have thought with most members having a disability or looking after someone who has a bit more tolerance and understanding would be given.

    Thanks @luvpink I posted before I had actually written anything. I am having that kind of day.

    Take care.

    @Bluebell21

    I agree with what you say and I have noticed it too.

    I have used the 'ignore' function but the person seems to be back under a very similar name.

    Good afternoon,

    We understand the concerns being raised, however posts like this can unintentionally lead to further upset or encourage speculation or indirect references to other members.

    To help keep the community a safe and supportive space for everyone, we have chosen to close the discussion.

    If anyone feels targeted, unwelcome, or uncomfortable posting, we strongly encourage them to contact the team directly so we can offer support and review the situation appropriately.

    Likewise, if you are concerned about another member or see posts you feel may be targeting someone, please use the report/flag function or email the team as usual. This allows us to address issues fairly and without causing additional distress within the community.

    You can reach the community team on community@scope.org.uk

    Our priority is to ensure that all members feel safe to ask for help, and the most effective way to support that is by raising concerns through the appropriate channels so they can be properly looked into.
