Help needed daughter turned 16 partial payment
Hello, we dont know all the Ins and outs of DLA my daughter only started receiving it late last year, we thought we received a back payment couple of weeks ago, but now believe it was a partial payment as she turned 16. We only received our pip claim letter 3 days ago. I can't specifically find the right answer online anywhere.
Due to the partial payment received 2 weeks ago, does that mean I won't now receive my normal DLA payment that is due tomorrow? I know once I claim the pip award before date on letter thatDLA will continue until my pip award decision. But due it not turning up yet will I not receive anything on my normal payment date tomorrow due to the partial payment I received?? Thanks in advance if anyone understands what I mean by this post and can answer me 😆 🙏

Hi,
DLA payments shouldn't stop immediately on your child's 16th birthday.
As long as you start the PIP process before the deadline on the claim letter the DLA should continue until the PIP decision is made.
If you do not start the PIP process before the deadline, then the DLA payments will stop.
