UC Gone up ESA gone down
Hello, wondering if any of you can help me understand this as I’ve contacted UC stating that mine and my husbands joint claim has gone up by £400 for May and I’m worried we are getting overpaid but have not had a response yet
Looking through the breakdown , UC are only deducting £200 rather from ESA than the full amount (he is on the high rate of ESA contribution support group ) of £291 twice a month .
He’s also on the higher rate of LCWRA and I am on Carers Allowance but they have been logged correctly . It’s really odd. Any ideas would be welcome! Many thanks

Hi @Loumc48, sorry no one was able to answer your question. Did you manage to find out what was happening?

This is the April/May 2026 error. It's happened to so many people who get both UC and ESA this month. The UC system hasn't calculated the ESA deduction correctly.
