in Start here and say hello!

Hi I was awarded LCWRA in nov 2025 after submitting sick notes since Jan 2025 my husband has been submitting sick notes since June 2025 he was just awarded LCWRA end of April 2026 will he he receive any back payment

    Hi,

    If you have a joint claim then I'm afraid your husband getting LCWRA will not add any more money to your payments. Only one LCWRA payment can be made for a joint claim.

    He could claim the Carers Element if he provides 35 hours care for you, and you get a qualifying disability benefit such as PIP or ADP.
