Hi, my name is Scotslady2027! Can I do permitted work on ESA and UC?
Hello
I a single woman and on support group ESA but also on UC.. ( get rent only ) and standard ADP for daily living and low mobility.
Would I be able to do any permitted work.I don't know what i could do really but feel I'm rotting away! Maybe walk a few dogs nearby or something.
Any advice welcome.

Hi @Scotslady2027, you can do up to 16 hours of permitted work each week on ESA. There's some information about that here:
It's worth bearing in mind whether the work you're doing might contradict the reasons for claiming health-related benefits. For example, if someone stated they have serious back pain and struggled with walking but then worked as a bricklayer, that would likely cause some issues. But you can still work if you're feeling up to it, you would just need to let them know ☺️
