Hi, my name is Philagain!
Hello
My name is Phil and today i completed my 5th PIP review.
I'm currently in a suicide prevention program and this process has again left me feeling drained and exhausted.
What has made matters worse is the rude attitude and condescending manner of the Maximus assessor who refused to allow me to record the ordeal.
I can't understand why he had to be so harsh with me over the telephone.

Hello @Philagain
Did you know that the DWP announced that from 29th June all PIP and WCA assessments would be audio recorded? I'm shocked that just one day later Maximus refused you to do this. Did they say why?
I hope you are doing okay and are recovered from the assessment.

I'm so sorry you went through this.
If at any point you feel strong enough, you can make a complaint.
Sometimes I'll draft a complaint then decide not to send, but I've found the process of writing it out cathartic.

Hi @Philagain and a warm welcome to the community from me!
I'm so sorry to hear about your pip assessment, it sounds like it was a really difficult experience. How are you feeling today? I hope you're recovering okay.0 -
Making a formal complaint would be pointless, they'd do 2 things, sod all and nowt.

I don't think that's always the case @SheffieldMan1976. I'm sure it can feel like that sometimes and the thought of doing it can be exhausting. But the more people complain, the more likely companies will realise they have to change the way they work. And as Kimi says, sometimes it's just nice to write out how you feel and get it all out of your system even if you don't end up sending it to them.
Sorry you had such a horrible experience @Philagain. Hope you've managed to get some rest and recuperation time in. Have you got some support around you from friends or family?
