Access to work

So i got an email exactly one month before my access to work was to expire. I reapplied twice now and heard nothing back yet and now its due to in end in a few days and they're impossible to get hold of most of the time - Anyone else had similar experiences. I just realised you can reapply 12 weeks before but wasnt aware or this!!

I've applied for the Access to Work scheme, they keep telling me I don't qualify because I'm over 40 (I was 50 in April)

Yet as far as I know, blatant ageism isn't yet illegal under the Equality Act.

What? That's madness. You're more likely to need help if you're older. Ill also be 40 soon..... have u looked in to this?

Exactly, especially when it's nigh on impossible for a middle aged disabled adult with limited availability to get a job via conventional means, because I can't work 40 hours a week, most places don't wanna know.
