hi i get higher rate pip and esa , my daughter gets carers allowance for looking after me , if she claimed universal credit as well, would this stop my esa which entitles me to free prescriptions.

Hi, no it wouldn't stop your ESA, however the only ESA that now exists is New Style ESA a Contributions Based benefit.

Income Related ESA no longer exists as it's been fully replaced by Universal Credit.

New Style ESA does not entitle you to free prescriptions.

I'd suggest you stop claiming free prescriptions and look into applying via the NHS Low Income Scheme.
