PIP Reconsideration Back Pay & Timelines Question ❓

Hi everyone, I'm new here! 👋

I sent my PIP reconsideration on 28th August. I've been on standard rates for both since my RTA in 2020. My review is from September 2024—if I'm awarded higher rates, will back pay for the difference go back to 2024?

When I called on Thursday, they said my evidence is already extensive and no more is needed 😳. I mentioned I was struggling with the wait, so the advisor added a note to my account. The very next day, I received a text message saying: [insert text here].

Does anyone know roughly how long things take after getting this text? Thank you! 🙂 xx

Hi @Sheenaxxx, welcome to the community ☺️ It's difficult to say how long it will take unfortunately, it can vary a lot from case to case. Hopefully you're not waiting too long though!

Once they send your award letter they should let you know if you're due any back pay.
