Pip and.my brother
Hi ive just been looking into my brothers finances he lives in a residential home through 117 funding, I have on lots of occasions rang pip and asked why he can not claim they say its due to he funding, but 117 funding is half icb and half local authority, so dont understand why he's not getting it. It's been 9 years like this and only just found out in the past year how can we appeal this as its been longer than the mandatory reconsideration time is there anything we can do?

Hi @Dozyrosie31, welcome to the community. I'm sure our members will have some advice to share too, but as this sounds like quite a complex issue, it may be worth speaking to a professional benefits adviser about this. They can often take a deeper look at your brother's circumstances and let you know what might be possible. If you'd like to do that there's a search tool here to find local help: Turn2Us - AdviceFinder
When was the last time that you tried applying for PIP for him?
