Partner's care agency

Honest fed up with everything! His mum and dad have said his carer agency don't have do anything for me. I can't help or give opinion on his care nothing to do with me! I've been sorting things out in house so my partner isn't stressed or upset. Yet his carers aren't telling me going to his agency and complaining! Then owner of agency isn't letting me know either. So I can't do anything about stuff that happens!

I know the current arrangements have long been a source of frustration for you both.

Is it possible for your partner to tell the care agency you are to be considered his next of kin & primary contact?

If he has capacity to be in a relationship then he has capacity to make that choice about keeping you informed.

Can he request to change agencies?

Have you spoken to Adult Services and asked for a review, given the ongoing problems?

@Kimi87I can't my partner wants to stay with them and his parents agree with agency. That i don't have input on his care or carers.

I understand that your partner wants to stay with the care agency.

He can still tell them that information is to be shared with you. He is their client they should take his wishes and instructions into account.

If he has capacity to be in and consent to a romantic relationship then he should be able to decide who gets told information about his care.

If he has capacity then his parents can't overrule his wishes. They might not like being told to step back, but it's your partners place to decide and put you first above them.

If he won't do that, then I'm not sure what to recommend.

Yes! We've tried that agency don't recognised me at all! Now his parents agree with them. I can't fight as much
