My other question is about winter footwear. I have CP affecting all four limbs, I remain largely in my manual wheelchair with my lack of movement and poor circulation is with thin skin leading to regular serious pressure sores, my GP has referred me to my specialist surgical appliance service, however, I have been advised that it will take months, therefore, with winter well on its way; my poor circulation results in very cold feet, I was only given a pair of summer slippers that literally slip off my feet, provide no support and has a very hold sole that irritates my already thin skin resulting in another pressure sore risk.I am waiting to be seen by a podiatrist, but I would be grateful if any members of the community or Scope staff could recommend warm winter shoes and warm winter slippers with support in them.
