Hi 👋 it's been a long time since I've been on this community forum due to ill health. I had my gallbladder removed in 2025 and diagnosed with fibromyalgia this year. Is it true that trauma can cause fibromyalgia?
I think, in some, it has been ascertained that fibromyalgia can be the result of a previous trauma, but all the causes of this are not as yet fully known. I did see this identified as a cause in some on a webinar I watched by a Dr through FMA UK tho I don't know with any certainty that a gall bladder removal would necessarily cause this.
I don't know if you've already come across them, but perhaps Fibromyalgia Action UK (FMA UK) might be a useful resource for you.
