Hi I'm Tricia, I have a son with ASD. He doesn't like mint toothpaste. I can't find any toothpaste that isn't mint flavoured, unless it is for very young children. He is very sensitive about people thinking he is a baby. Can anyone give me any ideas where I can buy non mint flavoured toothpaste, suitable for adolescents.

Hi Tesco own brand do a strawberry ice cream flavoured stripey toothpaste, that our special needs dentist recommended, as it contains lots of fluoride!

Green People and Weleda both do non-mint flavours. You could try this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Green-People-Citrus-Aloe-Toothpaste/dp/B002PI3P0M/ref=sr_1_37?s=drugstore&ie=UTF8&qid=1328266953&sr=1-37 or http://www.amazon.co.uk/Weleda-101001-Calendula-Toothpaste-75ml/dp/B000UZ0OQA/ref=pd_sim_d_3 (both also available in health food shops and similar).

Hello - Colgate do a herbal toothpaste, some of the bigger supermarkets stock it, or you can also buy it on Amazon - here's the link: www.amazon.co.uk/Brand-Colgate-Herbal-ToothPaste-Eucalyptus/dp/B0058DK220/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1328269350&sr=8-1
Hope that helps!

Greenpeople - we use the fennel toothpaste, or they also do a mandarin flavour. We only use a tiny amount on the brush, as he doesn't spit it out. It's plenty and does the job!

Our special needs dentist suggested that the problems we were having with toothpaste may be caused by the 'foaming' action rather than the taste. We successfully use Kingfisher Fennel, or Kingfisher Mint, on a small headed brush. It is available from Holland & Barrett http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=1168&prodid=1482&sid=0. Greenpeople toothpaste is also very good.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will certainly try the websites.
I used to be able to buy non mint toothpaste from Tesco but I was told they no-longer do it. My son used to like the strawberry flavoured one.
I will let you know how I get on.
