I live in Glasgow with my husband and 2 Jack Russell terriers. The last one of my 3 adult children is just about to move into his own flat. I'm 57 and suffer from hypermobility syndrome and fibromyalgia. I finally had to take early retirement from my teaching job, which I miss, we are now struggling financially as for various reasons my pension is very small. I am just about to attempt to claim PIP! ha! Wish me luck...

Hi @Veronica
Welcome to the community!
Lots of people on the community have experience of claiming PIP, so feel free to ask any questions you have. We also have benefit experts on hand if there's anything tricky or if you don't get the result you need: https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/ask-a-benefits-advisor
You'll also find quite a few people with fibromyalgia - so let us know if you have anything we can help with @annepatricia1954 @katz @Lynngary @martina
Also if you haven't already - you should also check what else you might be able to apply for: http://www.scope.org.uk/support/disabled-people/benefits/check
