Hi @val66,
Welcome to the community you have to be very skilled person managing brining up disadvantage children. Perhaps, you would like to share your experience of fostering with us. I am mum to 6 years old boy who loves football.
Lets here from you more.

Hi @Val66, it is hard if child is passionate about something but hardly can perform. I wonder how you could increase his passion father. I recently brought few books for boys about football.
"The hat trick" by Terry Deary
"The big send off" by Rob Childs
"The unbeatable Boy's Book" How to be the Ultimate Champion by Huw Davies.
I have not manage to read them to Teo yet I thought perhaps he will want to try himself.
The best book we read ( in my native language ) is biography of MESSI.
It is the no 1 for my son.
I just wander if there is any disability football team activity near the place you leave, so your boy can at least kick the ball towards goalkeeper in sport hall.
Have a nice evening.
