Hi @colinphipps46.
A big welcome to the site/community.
I can pick this up for you tomorrow morning if that would help as I haven't been there as off yet.
They will be back in first thing & I can ask on off our Benefit Advisors.
Sorry that I haven't been able to help you myself but I do want to get you the correct info.
I hope that this is ok ?????0 -
Hi @colinphipps46,
Welcome!
Please see the discussions on PIP/DLA and Tips for your PIP Apppeal..
I've moved your question into our PIP discussions, so hopefully other members can add more advice.
Excellent to have you here.0 -
you will still be required to return the car, if you do so in under 8 weeks you may get upto £2000 transitional allowance or 26 weeks and £500, they can also give you an option to buy. The clock still runs even through man recon and appeal stage (if you are reinstated you should be allowed to trade in the pip for a car again - daft )0

This is from a statejment about Penny Mordaunts changes regarding this
Under the new rules claimants will be able to keep their vehicle for 8 weeks after their DLA award ends.
In addition, claimants who are eligible for a transitional support payment will be able to keep their Motability vehicle for up to six months whilst asking for a mandatory reconsideration and then an appeal. However, claimants who do take this option will have their transitional support payment reduced by an amount that has yet to be announced.
Goood luck
