    Thank you for sharing all your research @DannyMoore!
    I am reading a book at the moment by Steve Silberman called "Neurotribes: The Legacy of Autism and How to Think Smarter About People Who Think Differently" which I think you would enjoy too! Although I suspect in all your research you may have already come across it.

    I do have a friend who is ****. He told me that growing up, (so, 1950s) he has a friend who had Autism. But he didn't talk.

    I was recently diagnosed with High Functioning Autism (Asperger's) at the age of 54. I became a member of Mensa the High IQ society when I was about 20. So it does happen, but not all Aspies necessarily have a hi IQ.
