Hi again@Steve51
In answer to your to your message, I am Gill aged 65 and my condition started in 2005 with a simple attack of what I presumed was sciatica, but then realised the pain was coming from my hip, and visited the doctors, he diagnosed back problems and was sent by my specialist for an MRI scan. Subsequently i had a decompression of my spine, but struggled to do the PHYSIO, still having hip pain. I was referred again and sent for a hip replacement, this was done at the time when you could not wait more than 6 months for treatment and thus the Government decided to bring surgeons from Europe to perform the ops to get the waiting time down, in Private Hospitals. My hip was replaced (worse decision I made in my life) it ruined my mobile life. Subsequently I had 3 dislocations and a revision as the prosesis was put in incorrectly. IT IS WORSE NOW, THAN BEFORE THE OP with all the bashing around it had. I have a combination of osteoarthritis and psoriatic arthritis, I have also had psoriasis for over 30 years and is a nightmare to get under control. Sadly i HAVE CONDITIONS THAT THERE IS NO CURE FOR, AND WON'T BE,IN MY LIFETIME, UNFORTUNATELY. Last year I had a bunion removed, because of my condition the psoriatic arthritis became worse leading to further deformity in my toes, and had this rectified last week. I am at the moment on complete bed rest for yet another 3 months this cracks me up. THANKS FOR TAKING TIME OUT TO READ MY COMMENTS.0 -
