I'm now on the 9th week of waiting for my carers allowance decision ! How long are the current waiting times ?

Welcome to the community - I hope you find it helpful. I'm not entirely sure how long it will take for the decision to come through, but I would say that is not unusual to hear people share that its taken a few months to hear back.
Although it might be of little comfort at the moment, if successful the payment will be backdated. Have you tried calling for an update? No harm in checking on the status.

It usually takes 4-6 weeks so give them a ring. When I applied I heard nothing until I rang to be told I didn't qualify. So check that you do meet all the criteria
