Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024

Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

As ever, please make sure that your comments remain respectful of other people's opinions and keep to our online community house rules.

    Hi @joolie58,

Welcome to the community - I hope you find it helpful. I'm not entirely sure how long it will take for the decision to come through, but I would say that is not unusual to hear people share that its taken a few months to hear back.

Although it might be of little comfort at the moment, if successful the payment will be backdated. Have you tried calling for an update? No harm in checking on the status.

    Best wishes,

    Kirsty

    Hi joolie and welcome

It usually takes 4-6 weeks so give them a ring. When I applied I heard nothing until I rang to be told I didn't qualify. So check that you do meet all the criteria

    Hi @joolie58

    Welcome to our online community.

Yes you might find giving them a call for an update the best course of action to be honest.

Please bear in mind that everything comes to a grinding holt over the
