what happens too PIP when you reach 65, does it stop?

hello everyone, what happens too PIP when you reach 65, does it stop?? do I have to apply for other benefits so as I don't lose what little I have coming in

PIP will be paid as long as you meet the criteria for an award.
How long is your current award ?
do you receive a mobility element ?

If you have PIP it carries on after 65 the same as DLA uses to ( I am 63 now and have ongoing award) Think it will be reviewed in 10 years? Don't think pension or other benefits are affected?

ive got mines until 2020 then a review again but hearing different things about it, not from on here but in general that's why I asked on here.

If you are getting PIP when you reach age 65 then you stay on PIP as long as you meet the qualifying criteria.  If your PIP is stopped following an assessment after 65 then you can still appeal.

Your mobility award cannot be increased post-65.  If you have no mobility post-65  and your mobility worsens then you cannot be awarded any mobility.  Similarly, if you are on standard mobility post-65 and your mobility worsens, then you cannot get enhanced.

However, if following a post 65 reassessment your current mobility is lowered or removed then you can appeal to have it restored.  If you only get standard then you could only get standard on appeal.  But if you get enhanced then you could get your enhanced restored.

This sounds so complicating lol, oh if only me and hubby were born before 1949 then we both could have kept our DLA. So anyone who is lucky enough to keep their DLA they never get re assessed, is this correct. But if you get standard rate of PIP when your 66 even if you get worse you can never apply for higher rate, am i reading this correctly?

This only applies to the mobility element, the care element can be reviewed and increased but the mobility Ceiling is set with your assesment after 65
