What is the Minimum Income Guarantee and how is it calculated?

After my adult daughter assessment we were asked to complete a financial assessment which we did. The conclusion of this is that my daughter has to pay £15.00 plus. But this is calculated with a Minimum Income Guarantee figure. Can you advise how this is calculated?

Hello
The local authority circular for charging gives further details about how MIG is calculated:
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/social-care-charging-for-local-authorities-2018-to-2019
Also See the Care Act Statutory Guidance Chapter 8 and annex C

I am happy to work through the calculations with you to check the MIG is correct if you email me details to [email protected]
