I was just wondering if anyone will be able to help I used to get higher rate dla mobility component but now I’m on pip and get lower rate I used to lease a mobility scooter through notability scheme but due to drop in allowance I can’t. So motobility let me buy my mobility scooter for a £100 pound and told me to take my own insurance and warranty/ service plan out Eden insurances the scooter but won’t do a service plan as they say I didn’t by the scooter off them although  it came from them in the first place can anyone recommend a good service/maintainer plan I’m in  north east England thanks in advance

Hello Ian @iandarlington and welcome to the community. Glad to have you with us.
I'm among the first to see your post but others who will be better able to answer your question will be along in due course. It may be that your post will be moved to this forum https://community.scope.org.uk/categories/technology-and-equipment but there is nothing to stop you from posting your query about servicing and maintenance there.
We have PIP specialists here, too, who may comment also.
Hope this is some small help, and don't hesitate to be in touch if you have any other questions or issues you want to raise.
    Warmest best wishes to you,
    Richard

Hi @iandarlington, and welcome to the community!

We had a discussion on the community quite recently about cover for mobility scooters, which you can check out here. We haven't had any specific recommendations for companies for community members, but there are some great links to further information. Hope this helps and do let us know how you get on!

I am sure if you contacted your local council they may know of a supplier or dealer in your area or by contacting the scooter contact details in the hand book may be of help or goggling your request on line stating the area you live in and details you require. Good luck.

    Hi @iandarlington

It might be worth taking a look at Fish:

Also The British HealthCare Trades Association includes many member businesses that offer scooter repair/maintenance  you can have a look at who might be in your area by checking their searchable map:

    Best Wishes
