Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia just before Christmas and am struggling with getting my life back on track. Been advised to apply for Pip but don't know where to start.

Hello Liz (?) @lizingram and a very warm welcome to you. I am very glad you've found us.
We have many members here who have fibromyalgia and who will relate to what you are going through. Having checked, I can see there are several recent discussions in the 'Invisible Impairments' thread, including at least one from @Jillybean who is a newcomer like yourself.
Unless you've already found them and decided otherwise, the sites connected to these two links may be of use to you:
http://www.fmauk.org/contactsmenu/supportgroups and http://ukfibromyalgia.com/
We, however, are here for you, so please keep in touch,
Warmest best wishes to you,

Hi @lizingram

Hi @lizingram
There is some great information on the CAB site including:
There are 3 stages to your claim:- Start your claim by calling the DWP
- Fill in the claim form they send you
- Go to a face-to-face assessment - most people have to do this (but you won’t if you’re terminally ill)
You can also take the PIP self test here to see how you could score.
