Hi we are also in receipt of SMI and we are in the minority according to the post I have read as we strongly disagree with the general view of members.
We are also in receipt of income support and PIP and we do not know what all the fuss in about. We will all have our interest paid on our mortgages by the government and this will remain in place until we die or the property is sold. Why should the tax payer have to foot the bill for others that are not working especially when the loan is only repayable when the person dies or sells the property. It is appreciated that there will be posts in regard to leaving your home in you will but again why should the tax payer foot the bill.
