Hi does anyone know if a person is entitled to any benefits if they are profoundly deaf?

    Hi @bramley

I am proufondly deaf, with other disabilities.
There is a website called "action for hearing loss".
Gives you great advice on what benefits you are entitled to.
Also your local deaf society could help you with benifits and fill out forms.
They will also help, if you need equipment for your home.
    And help with support groups.
    Good luck

Being deaf won't entitle you to benefits but how being deaf affects you daily life could entitle you to them.

PIP isn't a means tested benefits so you can claim this regardless of your household income. For PIP it's based on how those conditions affect you daily.

There's a PIP self test that you can complete online. This will give you some idea what you could possibly score, if anything. It is only a guide and evidence will be needed to a claim, if you apply.
