    Hi @brett1988
Welcome to the community :) Thank you for sharing this with us and I can imagine it is a very stressful time. A tribunal date is given on the basis of workload. This means that unfortunately it can take up to 12 months to get a date, when did you put the appeal in?
I hope you aren't waiting much longer and are able to get things sorted!

    brett1988,

I don't know what your letter from HMCTS says, but it's likely that it's just confirming they received your appeal. As Chloe says, it's likely to be several months before you get a hearing date. Most areas have at least a six month waiting period and it could be more. The only way to find out what it currently is to ring your area office (this should be on the letter you've received) - that will at least give you an idea of how long you might be waiting.

I'm not sure where in the north west you are so don't want to give you the wrong number; I would check your letter & call them.

    Will
