Hi my son has just been awarded PIP after a tribunal hearing . Can i claim backdated carers allowance?

    Yes and it's much easier if your claim for Carers allowance wasnt closed whilst the tribunal process was taking place.  Otherwise you have to make a fresh claim then claim back the gap provision. Ask Action on Disability in your borough for assistance. They can press your case as a matter of urgency.
