Hi
Just to let you all know I have just completed my application to my energy supplier for the warm home discount for this winter.
Im not sure what other suppliers have started taking applications but I’m with EDF.
I do know that there are limited timescales for applying so if you’d like to apply I’d check with your supplier now.

Put mine in several weeks ago way before scheme was opened but will check on Monday to make sure I am on the list.2

It's first come first served I believe so make sure you get your application in. I did mine yesterday - I am with Npower.1
-
First come first served unfortunately1
-
British Gas does it too and didn’t know npower does it2

O this is a good thing and now I know about it, hopefully will be able to get it if Utilata do it. I'll ring them today to find out. Good information!!!2
-
Eligibility to the WHD will depend on circumstances. Those claiming pension credit are in the core group and will be contacted by DWP because they will automatically qualify. If you don't receive pension credit you'll be in the broader group and claiming for WHD under this will depend on circumstances and the criteria with your energy supplier. Some companies haven't yet opened the applications... SSE is one and so is Utilita.

I just remembered I changed to a smart meter last November and the lady from BGas sorted my winter fuel payment out for me over the phone wish I'd tried that way this year so I know you can still claim in November with B Gas ?1

I got told 2-3 months!!! Worried sick suffering from anxiety and depression and chronic back pain good luck everyone ?easy said:It's first come first served I believe so make sure you get your application in. Rang Utilita - They said that the warm home discount scheme has closed for this year. Strange really as that's the same as last year!!!!1
