I am 56 with grown up children my husband is my main carer as I am classed as disabled with the effects of large dose of steroids I take for gca0

Could you say what GCA stands for as I'm not sure what it is please

giant cell arthritis. it is not common but can lead to blindness and need high dose of steroids to keep it in check. It starts with severe headaches.0

The side effects of steroids and reducing them has left me with fibromyalga and diabetes.and will continue using steroids until gca in remission. In nearly two yrs have been in remission for five weeks.0

I haven't come across another member with GCA before, thank you for explaining to me. If there is anything at all that we can do to help then please let us know!
