Cold weather and being cold

cracker Member Posts: 324 Pioneering
I have Raynaud's and am also awfully thin. Winter here in Vermont is cold. I need more heat inside, but my landlord set the thermostat too low for . I am using an infrared heater which almost doubles my electric bill.

Are you intolerant of the cold? I find it makes things hurt more.

Yes, I could call the Housing Authority (I am on Section 8, which means that my rent i;s reduced, part of it paid by government. I am afraid to go over my landlord's head, though. He could find a reason to make me leave.

I have asked him many times to adjust the heat. I will just have to continue to ask. If he doesn't comply this coming week, I will have to contact HUD (Housing the Urban Develpment).
