Carers allowence

Hi everyone I claim esa (for me) and dla (for my daughter) she has had dla now nearly a year we have only just put in for carers allowance I applied 4 weeks ago I rang up today 29th oct and they have said her first payment will be on the 29th Nov? Why that long cos I'm on esa? Apparently they gone back to the 9th of July I'm still a bit confused by it all. My daughter is 5 non verbal autism this will be a big help for her. I know I've been awarded but no idea on how much I just know first payment will be 29th November
