Pension and carers allowance

Hi my hubby turns 65 in Feb gets his pension in May. I have no idea why the wait lol .my questions is someone told us that when he gets his pension the carers will stop is this correct please .we will find it really hard without the money tbh ..

Hi,You can't claim carers allowance when claiming your state pension because of the overlapping benefit rule. What you will receive is an underlying entitlement to it. This could mean that you could be eligible for pension credit but of course claiming pension credit will depend on your circumstances. The following link will explain it all to you.
