Just recieved ESA(IBR) and do not know why it had been sent to me

I have just recieved ESA(IBR) and do not know why it had been sent to me. No questions about my health its all about income. Could this be because they can look into my bank account?

There were mistakes made with those moving from different benefits and they are now entitled to backdated payments.
