Hi i,ve got my pip tribunial hearing date its for the 30th jan i would like to no has anyone had a hearing with suffering from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis if so how was your hearing and did the tribunial take into account about ipf and how it affect your daily living

My daughter had her tribunal today ... all i can say to you is how your illness affects you ! Get as much evidence as you can ie : gp consultants family and friends that know how youre affected ! Good luck x0

Yes I have it along with Asthma. I explained on the claim form all about the impact that particular issue causes. The assessor cured me, she reported that as I was not receiving specialist treatment for either and that my breathing seemed normal whilst seated they disregarded it as a minor issue. Mind you she asked me to give a couple of breath pressure samples. Put the tube between my lips correctly as taught by the asthma nurse and blew a 240 and a 260. Both readings similar to the ones at the GP's surgery.The report said that the low readings were because I did not hold the tube correctly and was trying to sabotage the test.

My hubby went in with her and he said it was a bit gruelling especially as they could see how much pain she was in ! It was an hour long too ...she got really upset ! X0
