can anyone help me please, ive been on DLA since 2004 and got the high rate mobility and the middle care componant,my neighbour who im having problems with police involved and gentoo reported me to dwp,so when i got the DLA my middle care was taking off me in 2006, when i phoned them up they told me weve took the middle rate care off you because we think in time you should be able to go out on your own and do a little walking and shopping on your own,so its took me just up till july gone to do that but not alot.now whats happened they have followed me and took evedince of me walking a little to the shop and hovering my car.now ive been to a meeting under caution and my DLA stopped and they are taking my mobility car off me on 7th january, can anyone tell me if this is right because they told me i would still get the high rate mobiliy when the stopped my middle rate care,im confused the told me to do it then im getting all this trouble because they have seen me go out. i was only doing what the said i should be able to do,

    Hi @derek123

    Good Evening & Welcome ??

It’s great to meet you today ☃️☃️☃️☃️☃️

I’m very very sorry ????  to read your post.

“Wow” things have taken a “tumble” since your “neighbour” contacted the “DWP”

Do you have a local “CAB” office as they will be able to offer you some help/advice????

Please please let me know if you have any further questions???

Irrespective of what had been previously said or intimated, it would seem that the DWP now have doubts about your entitlement to your DLA.
They think that they have evidence to prove this.
What are the DWP doing now - what have they told you what their intentions are?

It seems like the neighbor has too much free time. Get in contact with your local CAB office. Ask for advice. Can you move away from this neighbor or not? Feel free to ask any other questions here.

I am struggling to get my head around this.  Your neighbour reported you 12 years ago, and they have now stopped your DLA for suspected fraud?  You are in touch with advice?  So they should be able to advise you on the next steps.

It doesn't matter that the DWP told you 12 years ago that you should improve to the point where you would be able to start walking a little and going out.  If you can walk more than 50 metres regularly then you should have let them know that your mobility had improved.

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this process @derek123.

Unfortunately it's unlikely that any of our community members will be able to tell you whether the decision was correct/incorrect without knowing more about your circumstances, but please do let us know how it goes, and we'll try and advise where we can.
